Stouffville Hospital.
Pediatrics at Markham Stouffville
Hospital is committed to being a
child-friendly centre. They have
developed unique capabilities for
welcoming and comforting young patients.
Children are generally admitted to
Markham Stouffville
Hospital’s short-stay Pediatrics unit
with medical or surgical
problems through the Emergency
Department or via a
pediatrician’s office. Like all services
in their Children’s
Centre, the Pediatrics unit offers
family-centered care for
newborns, children and adolescents up to
18 years of age.
As Markham continues to grow, the Pediatrics unit needs to
expand to maintain the unit’s high level
of service.
Proceeds from the Khan Invitational Golf
Classic will help fund
the Pediatrics Unit at Markham
Stoufville Hospital.

Research shows playing a round of golf has the same health benefits of a
full 45-minute fitness class. It burns fat
and improves your good cholesterol levels. Swinging clubs and putting
are also physical workouts. Repetition can help tone muscles in the
arms, back and shoulders. It may also improve flexibility and range of
motion. Golf also helps to strengthen hand-eye coordination and balance.
It’s a great way for players to remain spry and active in a low-impact
way.
